November

November's Theme is Everything changes. This month we will be learing about Autumn time and all of the changed going on around us. Keep your fingers crossed and if the weather stays nice we may go to the park and play. Friday November 20th will be funny face friday in conjunction with the letter F. You can use light face paint or stickers...This is just a fun activity to get the children excited for learning new letters.

No Class Wednesday November 25th-Friday November 27th because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Classes will start up again Monday November 30th at regular times. Please call me if you have any questions or concerns.

Everyone had a great time at our Halloween Party. The costumes were great and the children learned alot about sharing and taking turns. We also learned alot about how to stay safe While trick or treating. Thanks again Parents!

Fire Safety

Friday we went to the Fire Station and It went well. The children learned alot and was reminded of all of the things learned in class as well. Thank you again to the parents who were able to help. Classes were small due to alot of sickness....hopefully everyone is feeling better and we look forward to having them back in class. *STAY TUNED FOR HALLOWEEN POSTINGS*

Homework--I don't normally give out homework I just don't feel it necessary for Preschool students...However, I have had several students ask over and over for it (I think to be like older siblings). Once a week I will send home a random page of "homework" that can be done by the students if they want to. If the child completes the homework please send it back to school so I can give them recognition for it. This may help them get use to the whole homework concept since they will have it in Kindergarten. Just remember that it is not a big deal and it is optional.

Monday September 21st I will be making a new seating arrangement for the students so that the children can get to know the other children and to help avoid a few issues we have been having in class. If your child has a concern or something is bothering them at school please let me know so that we can find a way to resolve it in class. We want to keep Preschool a positive yet problem solving environment.

The First day of Preschool went very well and the children are off to a good start. It will take a few weeks before the children are in a good routine, However they are already showing positive results.

*Always remind your child to use the handrail when going up and down the stairs. Safety for the children comes first. *Le me know if someone other that mom and dad is picking up your child. If you have already done this there is no need to do it again. Bare with me untill I match faces of Parents to the children. *Show and Tell is every Friday.

September 7th there will be no class for Labor day

October 5th - 9th we will be out of school for spud harvest.

Preschool Graduation 2006

Back to School

It's that time of year again...time to think about school and making new friends.

First day of class is September 2nd but first we need to have an open house to see the school and gather information needed before school starts.

The open house will be Tuesday August 25th from 10:00am-6:00pm. Stop by anytime to pick up parent packs and a special treat from Mrs Hunter. SEE YOU THERE!
